This book is motivated by love and infused with magic. It is made up of the pearls of five years’ work with women and boundaries practice, inspired by our healing conversations, shamanic journeys, adventures through the lost shipwrecks, and by my spirit helper and queen, Mountain Lion.
My dream is Boundaries & Protection will be a companion to everyone who carries it. I love people, and I believe in their abilities to turn their lives around: to hang in there when seas get stormy. I believe that if we bring intelligence in first through the spirit, then into the body to see how it registers, and lastly put it through the beautiful mind machine, then we will get a sweeter response than if we reverse the order.
I began this book on steady ground. A good way through writing it, my legs began to quake—a typical reaction in the third stage of anything worth doing, where doubts creep in to see if they can undermine trust and confidence. I pressed on, knowing that the remedy is to follow my own damn advice: tune into your heart, call Spirit in to carry you, don’t overthink it, and avoid negative gremlin-talk.
I sailed my ship through some scary thoughts, knowing I’d get to the mountain if I stayed with my feelings, but I didn’t allow fear and the tendrils of past experience to inform my course. What you are reading is not the words of a certified expert on the subject of human psychology, but of a woman who loves people, life, and the gifts of Spirit as they express themselves in nature. My experience with thousands of women and professional consult with those who know better than I have been my best teachers.
This book is my offering to you of golden protection through your own murky territories. As with all of my pursuits, I had to live through what I am sharing with others in real time. Spirit loves to have its way with me and exhibits zero tolerance of any overconfidence with which I may walk in my own relationships.
With love and eternal hope for the world,
