SouLodge Earth Medicine School
Prerequisite: Certification or Enrollment in EMS Level Two
The Healer’s Journey
In the inward, reflective season of the West, we’ll embark on a 5-week journey to explore the challenges of the archetype. Each of the modules presented here is part of a particular theme familiar to those practicing Earth Medicine and the healing arts.
EMS 3: The Healer’s Journey is an in-depth look at how we practice, where we stumble, what depletes us/fills us, who and what we can count on, and how to take responsibility for the lessons life presents from a shamanic perspective. Designed to create support, fill the gaps, introduce broad-spectrum tools and reinforce the magic in your medicine, EMS 3 is a gentle, yet rigorous, approach to life after declaring, “YES, I am a Healer.”
Earth Medicine School Level Three is designed for those who have completed Level Two requirements and achieved certification. It is comprised of four modules which help the advanced learner more deeply understand her practice and journey as Healer.
Students will expand their comprehension of being on a lifelong adventure in making medicine of what life serves up.
Class times are Thursdays from 10-2:00 PDT
Three sessions per class day are 60 minutes long each and will take place at: 10-11am, 11:30-12:30 and 1-2:00
Class size limited to 30 women.

Healer Depression: Lifting with Purpose
When beginning again in a new way or incorporating new concepts into existing work, the Healer begins with a spring in her step. Sometimes, along the way, questions arise: Am I really qualified to do this? Am I spiritual enough? Who am I to be doing this big work? Should I just throw in the towel?
Discover the pitfalls of being a Healer and how to navigate them. Manage energetic, spiritual, physical and mental duress due to the gremlins of the trade. Learn how to name and tame what diminishes energy for “the work” in order to stay fit for the job.
Discussion, journey, and question and answer modules to explore the executive functions of the Three Healer’s Tasks.
November 8 2018| 10:00am – 2:00pm PDT:
Working with the Ancestors: Healing the Lineage
Delving into the infinite land of guides and helpers can seem like having a VIP pass to the big party. Who is most significant for me to spend time with? How do I understand and enlist the help of the guides who have already come forward? Why, as I go along, am I faced with seemingly increasing needs to be present to my own soul work? Is it normal to get harder before it levels out?
Calling upon personal ancestry and spirit-realm fore-bearers, you will explore the rich territory of making strong, familial alliances to accompany you on the Healer’s Journey. Bring attention to your DNA and make repairs to your lineage backward and forward. Address mental health legacies in your family and shed light on what requires healing.
Discussion, journey, and question and answer modules to interpret findings as well as those you bring to the table.
November 15 2018| 10:00am – 2:00pm PDT:
Strengthening the Spiritual Immune System
Just like the physical body’s immune system must be monitored for wellness, so must the spiritual body have surplus provisions for the increase in demands. Like the Tower in the Tarot, there are times when our systems threaten to crumble in order to be rebuild and inhabit new space. Feeling occasionally upside down when what you want to do is root into your practice? Learn to work with symbols to ground and build a lasting foundation for the themes most present in your life.
Explore the twelve energy systems, journey for symbolic information about where there is fragility, and practice making repairs.
Discussion, journey and embodied practicum.
November 29 2018| 10:00am – 2:00pm PDT:
Service Boundaries: Balancing the Life of the Healer
Being of service places rigorous demands on the Healer. Oftentimes, we find our groove and start to give too much of ourselves, believing that if we have it, we should send it out. The Healer’s Journey must contain a component of keeping something for ourselves, and it is wise study to know what truly feeds the practice, what to share and what to hold back.
Explore guidelines to discover what activating, practicing, and hosting circle, ceremony and ritual takes out of you. This module is about setting yourself up for success.
Lecture, planning and Q&A.
The homework load and submission process for this series will not be heavier than EMS 2, however the class days will be deep and rigorous, as ever.
Please be prepared to take notes and step up your level of self-care in preparation for taking the Healer’s Journey.
Submissions for certification must be received by May 30, 2019.
Level 3 Graduates have the option to attend a Vows Ceremony which takes place in July 2019 in Redmond, Oregon. There is an additional fee of $250 to attend.
